How do we make out the difference?

"Detective" evaluation:

  • in-depth analysis of all the nuances of history and symptoms;
  • investigating family history and situation
  • detailed review of all previous diagnostic investigations,
  • astute examination with attention to minor details and clues,
  • ordering laboratory analyses, electrodiagnostic testing and imaging studies.

How do we intervene?

By Functional and integrative treatments including:

  • Pharmaceutical medicines
  • Immunomodulatory treatment (such as intravenous immunoglobulins, if indicated)
  • Nutritional supplements (vitamins, minerals in oral forms, or as intravenous infusions)
  • Dietary and life-style modifications,
  • neuro-behavioral interventions,
  • mind-body reconditioning

Are there any non-conventional methods to be used?

Let's Remain on Our Feet and stay realistic about our practice:
Dr Brosgol abides by the principals of evidence-based medicine and would not embark on practices that are adventurous, eccentric, or denounced by the medical community.

Examples (few) of Neuro-Functional Treatments applied to Neurologic Conditions:

Chronic Headaches:

After underlying conditions be ruled by comprehensive diagnostic testing, dietary and lifestyle modification, sleep hygiene will be applied, specific mineral and vitamin supplements added, neuro-behavioral reconditioning, mindfulness and breathing exercises will be implemented.

Academic and Behavioral Failures

Additional psychoeducational evaluation will be required.
Special Educational accommodations, behavioral modifications will be employed.
Stimulant and non-stimulant medications might be applied if unavoidable.

Tourette Syndrome

Mild tics may not require any treatment.
However intense and severe tics are treated with CBIT ( Complex Behavioral Intervention for Tics ). This behavioral technique may work alone, as well as in conjunction with specific medications.

Pediatric Acute Neuropsychiatric Syndrome and Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Strep Infections.
If the condition is confirmed by immunological testing by a specialty lab, special treatments (IVIG infusions, plasm exchange, antibiotics) canbe used.

Chronic Subjective Dizziness

Will require neuro-behavioral reconditioning, education and physical therapy, possibly along with antianxiety medications

Extended Post-Concussion Syndrome

Physical therapy and athletic retraining, neuro-behavioral reconditioning, mindfulness and breathing exercises, mineral/vitamin supplementations, dietary/lifestyle modifications, specific medications (if unavoidable) will be used.
