After underlying conditions be ruled by comprehensive diagnostic testing, dietary and lifestyle modification, sleep hygiene will be applied, specific mineral and vitamin supplements added, neuro-behavioral reconditioning, mindfulness and breathing exercises will be implemented.
Additional psychoeducational evaluation will be required.
Special Educational accommodations, behavioral modifications will be employed.
Stimulant and non-stimulant medications might be applied if unavoidable.
Mild tics may not require any treatment.
However intense and severe tics are treated with CBIT ( Complex Behavioral Intervention for Tics ). This behavioral technique may work alone, as well as in conjunction with specific medications.
